Hawks look for different result this time against K-State

December 21, 2001 By admin

The 12th-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes return to action on Saturday night at home against Kansas State. The Hawks are coming off an impressive three-game winning streak, including a lopsided win at then second ranked Missouri last weekend. Iowa coach Steve Alford says coming off exam week he is concerned about this game. Alford says the week off may not be all bad as he says the players have had a great three day period where they’ve been getting a lot of praise. He says they now need to eliminate the pats on the backs and get back to work.Alford says as finals wind down the players will be ready for a game.
