Iowa State quarterback Seneca Wallace admits this season has gone better than he expected. Wallace was named the Big-12 Newcomer of the Year on offense after leading the Cyclones to a 7-4 record and an appearance in Thursday night’s Independence Bowl against Alabama. Recruited by a number of schools out of junior college as a receiver, Wallace is glad he stuck to his guns and went to a school where he could play quarterback. Wallace says playing a program with the tradition of Alabama is a great way to end the season.
