The president of the Iowa Association of Counties is critical of the state budget cuts and restructuring of state government. Joyce Jensen says it won’t save rural taxpayers a dime as folks will be forced to travel greater distances to obtain state services. Jensen, who is the Cass County Recorder at the courthouse in Atlantic, says rural Iowans aren’t having much of a say in these budget decisions.
