Northwestern women’s team returns to action

The Northwestern College women’s basketball team returns from the holiday break tomorrow by hosting Northwestern of Minnesota. A year ago, the Red Raiders claimed the N-A-I-A national championship and coach Earl Woudstra says there is a different feeling this season as the defending champ.While some key contributors from last year’s team are gone, Woudstra says this year’s group has showed great progress on the defensive end.The Red Raiders play Northwestern of Minnesota tomorrow and Central College on Saturday. Woudstra says it will be a demanding slate after a 16-day break for the holiday.The Red Raiders are 7-2 on the season.
