A man wanted by law officers in Iowa and five other states has been arrested in Missouri. 45-year-old Timothy Burch is wanted in Iowa City and Coralville on charges of theft, forgery, tampering with records and identity theft. He’s also wanted on similar charges in his home state of Missouri and in Illinois, Wisconsin, Arkansas and Indiana. He was picked up on a drunk driving charge over the weekend in the St. Louis suburb of Des Peres. Computers were down so an investigator asked Burch is he was wanted by anyone else, and he laughed and said, “Yeah, everybody.” It turns out, Burch has at least six aliases and the printout of his criminal history is a half-inch thick. Most of the charges revolve around his alleged passing of forged checks.
