Police investigate murder of pizza deliveryman

January 7, 2002 By admin

The first murder investigation in five years is going on in the Cedar Rapids suburb of Marion. At two this morning, police say they found a 31-year-old man dead at an apartment complex on Marion’s east side. After the pizza delivery driver failed to return to his base last night, the manager reported him missing, about half past midnight. The apartment complex would have been his second-to-last delivery run. Police found the driver’s car abandoned a couple of blocks away. Marion police are asking for help from the public.
