Grinnell police investigate injuries to child

Grinnell police are investigating what they say are suspicious injuries to a child. An ambulance was called to the home early yesterday after the child stopped breathing. The child was taken to Grinnell Regional Medical Center and then taken by helicopter to the University of Iowa Childrens Hospital in Iowa City. Doctors say there is bruising and swelling of the infant’s head.
