Iowa beat Northwestern, 70-60, last night in Iowa City. Iowa coach Steve Alford says it was important to bounce-back from the loss to Ohio State. He says anytime you get knocked to the canvas, the hardest part is learning how to win again. Alford was concerned, though, by Iowa’s 22 turnovers. He says they have to be able to take better care of the basketball.Fifth-year senior Rod Thompson came off the bench to score five, including a big three that put Iowa up by 14 points in the second half.Iowa plays Indiana on Sunday.
