Cyclone Pearon named Big 12 "Player of the Week"

Iowa State forward Tyray Pearson has been named the Big-12 men’s basketball player of the week. The senior averaged 29-points and ten-and-a-half rebounds last week as the Cyclones upset Missouri and nearly upended nationally ranked Oklahoma State. Cyclones coach Larry Eustachy says Pearson’s been able to score despite double teams. Eustachy says Pearson needs to work on his defense.Eustachy says Pearson has worked hard to get to this point in his career and will run out of games before he quits getting better.Iowa State returns to action Wednesday night at Colorado.
