A Highway Patrolman who was hit by a car at an eastern Iowa roadblock eight months ago is finally back on the job.27-year-old Cory Keeney has been a trooper five years and now works for the Cedar Rapids District of the patrol. After the accident, he had a fractured skull, a broken shoulder and a fractured backbone. Keeney was hit by a stolen car at the roadblock last May. The driver of the car, 22-year-old Paul Draper of Anamosa, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound when the chase ended at Matsell State Park in Linn County.
