In high school girls basketball action tonight, class 1A top ranked Hinton plays Granville Spalding. Hinton is averaging about 70-points per game but coach Matt Leary says defense has made the most improvement. Hinton is yielding just over 32-points per contest. He says they stress defense and try to give other teams a lot of different looks. Leary says the tough defense helps on nights when the offense gets a slow start.Leary says the ranking is fine but it comes with a price. He says everyone throws their best game at his team every night and they have to be ready to meet that challenge.
