Linn County Attorney stabbed at courthouse

An assistant Linn County Attorney was stabbed Friday afternoon while he was inside the county courthouse. Harold Denton was on his way to the second floor of the courthouse when he was struck on the back. Robert Northrop was taken into custody and charged with willful injury. Denton was taken next door to the Linn County Jail, where he was treated for his injuries, which were not considered serious. Northrop is being held in the Linn County Jail on 13-thousand dollars bond.
