The political makeup of the Iowa House will stay the same after a special election in northeast Iowa to fill an open seat.Voters in House district 28, which includes most of Fayette and part of Buchanan County, elected Democrat Jackie Reeder by about 200 votes. The 43-year-old Reeder is currently a Fayette County Supervisor and will take over the remaining two years of the term of Steve Falck of Stanley. Falck resigned to become Governor Tom Vilsack’s policy director.
