ISU looks to extend streak against Jayhawks

January 23, 2002 By admin

The Iowa State Cyclones return to Big-12 action tonight at home against second-ranked Kansas. After a loss at U-C-L-A, Kansas has posted back-to-back impressive wins over Oklahoma State and Oklahoma and the Jayhawks will try to snap a five-game losing streak against the Cyclones.Kansas coach Roy Williams says while the Cyclones lost several key players from their Big-12 championship team, the cupboard is not bare.Williams says the Jayhawks are well aware of their five-game losing streak in the series. He says he probably remembers it more than the players, because some of them weren’t on the team at the time.
