The Iowa women’s basketball team looks for their fourth victory in a row tonight as the Hawkeyes host Michigan State. Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says the Spartans play a number of different defenses and the Hawkeyes will rely on their balanced scoring. Bluder says the Hawkeyes will see a little bit of everything tonight, as Michigan State employs all sorts of defenses. The Northern Iowa women are at home tonight against Southern Illinois. The Panthers are coming off their first-ever victory in Des Moines against Drake and U.N.I. coach Tony Dicecco says his team needs to remain committed on the defensive end. Dicecco says Southern can get points from a number of different players. Dicecco says his defensive plan is to try to prevent Southern players from getting the ball in certain places on the court.
