Marshal County officials search for clues after body is found

January 28, 2002 By admin

Authorities in central Iowa are trying to determine what killed a person whose remains were found over the weekend. Officials in Marshall County are still trying to identify a body found in a ditch near Marshalltown over the weekend. Police say the body appears to have been at the scene for several months, but aren’t releasing much more information than that. Last May, a Marshalltown woman wandered away from a local nursing home, and was never found. Officials say the body found over the weekend is probably -not- hers, because the clothing doesn’t match what the woman was last seen wearing.
