Wartburg looks for room in crowded Upper Iowa race

A crowded Iowa Conference women’s basketball race resumes tonight with four teams right in the title chase. Upper Iowa is 9-3, a half-game behind league leader Wartburg, and coach Bill Wilson says in a race this crowded, it is best not to even watch the standings.The program has shown improvement in recent years and Wilson says a strong senior class has been a big reason for their success.Wilson says another key this season has been consistency. He says they’ve had consistent success against highly rated teams and now believe in themselves.
