Congressman confident in security surrounding Olympics

February 7, 2002 By admin

Iowa Congressman Leonard Boswell says everything that can be done is taking place to make the Winter Olympics in Utah safe. But, Boswell says a terrorist attack can’t be ruled completely out. Boswell, a military vet, says he’s learned to never underestimate the enemy. While he says there are possibilities of terrorism, he wouldn’t stay away from the games out of fear of an attack. Boswell says he has to assume that all the security will make the Olympics go on without a problem.Boswell is on the House Intelligence Committee and says there is far more going on to prevent attacks than even he knows about.
