An eastern Iowa deputy investigated for improper contact with a teenage boy has agreed to give up his law enforcement career. A former Jones County Sheriff’s deputy accused of misconduct while on duty has signed a petition giving up his certification as a law enforcement officer. Forty-eight-year-old Tommy Wink of Anamosa pleaded guilty to non-felonious misconduct and agreed to pay a one thousand dollar fine as well as court costs. A one-year prison sentence was suspended. Authorities say last August, Wink failed to serve court papers on a Monticello woman and her son, but said he did.
