Iowa romance writer looks to help others

An author from eastern Iowa who’s building an audience as an “inspirational romance” writer will be sharing writing tips in central Iowa today. Lyn Cote lives in the Cedar Rapids-area town of Hiawatha. She says the inspirational market is the newest market for authors.Cote says she’ll be offering tips about how to get published — like starting out with “baby steps” instead of trying for big leaps.Cote’s latest book is called “Winter’s Secret” which is the first in the new Northern Intrigue series. She’s published many novels already.It’s her tenth book. Her first came out in June of ’98. She’s speaking at 11 a-m at the West Des Moines Community Center and will do a book signing at 1 p-m at Wellspring Christian Resources in Des Moines.
