Group pushes issues that make women safe

The state capitol will be the setting for “Safe Women Safe Iowa Day” today. Kimberly Tolhurst-Lapp of the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault says her group will mark the day with an event at the statehouse designed to address the bills and inniatives she says will make Iowa a safer place.Tolhurst-Lapp says what is termed “The Clothes Line Project” will be part of the event. It involves t-shirts sent in from women around the state that were victims of some sort of violence or sexual assault.
