Patrol makes big drug bust near Stockton

February 25, 2002 By admin

A San Diego man makes his first appearance today in Scott County Court on felony narcotics charges. The Iowa State Patrol stopped 30-year-old Christopher Thomas Nikolsky for a traffic violation early Sunday afternoon near the Stockton exit of Interstate 80. Troopers then called in a Muscatine County canine unit to search the car, and the dog alerted officers to the trunk. There they say they found nylon suitcases containing 97 bundles of marijuana. The pot has a street value of more than $375,000.
