D-N-R holds workshops on enviroment

The first of several Iowa Department of Natural Resources workshops on the environment begin today. Barb Gigar coordinates the workships.which feature k-12 education projects that teach about the environment and focus on wildlife, aquatics and forestry. She says the workshops help parents and teachers supplement the things kids learn in the classroom.She says the workshops teach kids “environmental principles.”Today’s workshop is in Des Moines, others are across the state.You can find out more about the workshops at:www.state.ia.us/fish.
