March 11, 2002 By admin

The Boys’ State Basketball Tournament opens today with first round action in class 1A. In one of the games Lynnville-Sully will take on Fredricksburg. Lynnville-Sully coach John Howard says his team has bounced back from a mid-season slump. They started out 8-1 and then loss three games and held a team meeting. After that meeting, they went 12-1. Howard says Fredricksburg is a tough first round draw with athletes that know how to win after taking the football title in the fall. Fredricksburg is 23-1 overall.
