Unemployment rate goes up

Iowa’s unemployment rate went up slightly in February.Ann Wagner, a labor market analyst for Iowa Workforce Development, says the February jobless rate was three-point-four percent, up a tenth-of-a-percent from January.Wagner says a couple of factors are driving the labor market, a slight increase in unemployment claims. While there was some growth in off-the-farm jobs in Iowa last month, Wagner says the Iowa economy’s still sluggish. According to state stats, over one-point-six *Million* Iowans were employed in February, while almost 55-thousand Iowans were classified as unemployed.
