Grinell returns from Florida with a good softball start

The Grinnell College softball team has returned from a spring trip to Florida with a 6-2 record which is one more victory than they posted all of last season. Pioneer coach Tom Sonnichson says there were a lot of factors in last year’s sub-par record. He says injuries and other things added up, but he says he was glad the team held together and says that’s part of why they’re successful this year. Sonnichson says it was a very successful trip to Florida.Junior Megan Beeman and Freshman Kate Reynolds are handling the pitching chores.Grinnell resumes play on April fourth at home against Cornell.
