Bowlsby says NCAA job not in his future

Iowa athletic director Bob Bowlsby doubts he will be a candidate to become to the next president of the N-C-A-A. An article in the upcoming edition of The Chronicle of Higher Education says Bowlsby is one of the candidates to replace Cedric Dempsey who will retire early next year. Bowlsby does not believe the job will be filled by an athletic director. Plus, he says he’s never been contacted about the job or contacted anyone seeking the job.Bowlsby has held several N-C-A-A positions and says that may be one reason his name has been mentioned and admits it is flattering.
