Iowa customers of People’s Natural Gas Company will be getting a bonus in this month’s bill. The Iowa Utilities Board has okayed a refund plan for what it calls an “over collection” of more than eight million dollars. Utilities Board spokesman Rob Hillesland says it won’t be a refund check but a credit that will appear on the April bills.Hillesland says the average customer will get back about 52-dollars. He explains the refunds are being provided due to an “over collection” of funds for natural gas occurred between September of 2000 and August of 2001.
