Morningside baseball, Coe softball ready for conference play

The Morningside baseball team takes a 15-7 record into the start of North Central Conference play tomorrow at Augustana. Mustangs coach Jim Scholten says with a group of eight seniors leading the way they feel good about their chances.With four conference games each weekend, Scholten says pitching depth becomes a major factor.The Coe College softball team opens conference action tomorrow against defending champions Wartburg. Coe coach Bob Timmons says while matchups against the pre-season favorites are big, every team can have an impact on the race.
