Utilities Board seeks input on proposed gas rate increase

The Iowa Utilities Board is looking for input on MidAmerican Energy’s proposed rate increase.The energy company is proposing a four-point-three percent increase in its natural gas delivery rate. Utilities Board spokesman Rob Hillesland says they’re now taking written comments and will hold public hearings on the proposal in May.Hillesland says the Board has ten months to make the decision.The Board can approve the requested increase or adjust it based on the input received.
