The Northern Iowa football team has wrapped up the opening week of spring drills and coach Mark Farley says the staff used the time to evaluate the entire team. Farley says they tried to find out who the starters would be if they named a first unit.Farley says on defense, linebacker Titus Ivory has had an excellent start to practice. He says Ivory made plays in every practice and Farley says he should be a very good football player. Farley says the staff is working on different game situations. He says they need to establish a four-man pass rush and the offense needs to be able to pass block along with opening holes for the run.
