Upper Iowa off to 5-1 start in baseball

Upper Iowa is off to a fast start in the Iowa Conference baseball race. The Peacocks are off to a 5-1 start after a doubleheader sweep of Simpson on Wednesday. Upper Iowa coach Mark Danker says it’s a great start but there is a long ways to go. He says the know they can easily fall behind if they get too bigheaded. He says they’ve been humbled enough to know they can’t look too far ahead.Danker says his team has played good defense and has a solid pitching staff.Upper Iowa visits Buena Vista on Saturday.
