A prominent Webster City attorney faces a hearing April 23rd on charges of theft and on-going criminal conduct.Howard E. Myers is accused of misappropriating 200-thousand dollars in funds from a person in rural Jewell. Myers allegedly used the money to pay off personal debts, credit card payments, school loans, livestock purchases and other obligations. He was Webster City’s city attorney in the 1970s.
