A central Iowa man accused in the slaying of a toddler says he’s innocent. 21-year-old Benjamin Arends of Marshalltown is charged with murder in the November death of two-year-old Jesse Snyder, the son of Arends’ girlfriend. The child had multiple injuries and doctors found methamphetamine in his urine. The boy’s mother, Amanda Prusha, is charged with child endangerment.
