UNI coach happier about defense after drills

April 23, 2002 By admin

Northern Iowa football coach Mark Farley feels much better about his defense heading into Saturday’s spring game. A young defense has been a concern but Farley says the unit played much better in Saturday’s scrimmage. He says the defense really stepped up and made progress. Farley says last weekend’s scrimmage put more pressure on the offense as they made it more like a game situation. The Panthers will hold their spring game at Wartburg College.
