Reasons behind Bettendorf man’s death still not certain

Eastern Iowa authorities are still looking into an unusual accident.A Bettendorf man is dead as a result of his leap from a moving vehicle. 49-year-old Paul Schultz died Thursday morning. He had been in critical condition since jumping late Wednesday afternoon from the front passenger seat of a van traveling at 40 miles per hour. Schultz received a blow to the head when he hit the pavement. An investigation is continuing.
