You’re naked and being chased by monkeys? You’re eating an ice cream sundae the size of a Buick? You’re falling through the clouds and never hit ground? Whatever the dream, Iowans can have their nocturnal wanderings analyzed for free this weekend. Karen Mosby is director of the “School of Metaphysics” in Des Moines and is helping host the 14th Annual National Dream Hotline.Mosby is among several dream interpreters who will be taking phone calls from Iowans about their dreams tonight through Sunday. While Mosby says there’s a real science and value to having one’s dreams interpreted, she says some people write off her abilities as nothing more than a psychic hotline sort of scam. She says after people sit and talk through their dreams, they change their minds. While we’re asleep, Mosby says everyone dreams every 90 minutes, but many of us simply don’t remember the dreams, or don’t care to recall them. She says you have to learn to wake up after a dream so you can remember it. She says what dreams tell you about yourself is intriguing, revealing and often fulfilling. The phone lines will be open starting at 6 o’clock tonight through midnight Sunday. The number for Iowans to call is (515) 255-5570 and the dream interpretation is free.
