UNI coach pleased with Spring progress

April 27, 2002 By admin

Northern Iowa coach Mark Farley wanted a competitive spring game and the coaches drafted two evenly matched teams. He got what he wanted. The white team used a pair of field goals to down the purple squad six-to-nothing. Farley said the highlight of the game was a 98-yard drive in the fourth quarter. Two weeks ago Farley rated the defense with a grade of D. He says there has been improvement. He says they’re up to a C-plus now.
