Steyer joins ISU coaching staff

Jodi Steyer has been named an assistant women’s basketball coach at Iowa State. Steyer spent seven years as an assistant at Toledo, including six while Bill Fennelly was the head coach. She left coaching six years ago to start a family and currently resides in Ames. Steyer says they kept in touch with the Fennellys and that continued when her husband came to Des Moines to seek a job.Steyer says she has been able to watch the growth of the Cyclone program from a fan’s perspective the past few years. She says it’s been great to see the fan support and see how the program has changed from a fan’s view.Steyer was a standout player at Colorado State and has helped with the Iowa State women’s basketball camps the past four years.
