Panthers and Cyclones meet in baseball

May 1, 2002 By admin

Iowa hosts Northern Iowa tonight in college baseball action. The Hawkeyes have won seven of their last eight games and coach Scott Broghamer says the non-league games are important to help his team maintain momentum. He says UNI will be ready to play, and that’s the fun part of college athletics. He says it’s hard to turn things on and off, so the team has to be ready to go for every game, especially in baseball when you play so many games in a season. Broghamer says to be successful in the Big Ten you have to be consistent. He says the midweek games are very competitive and that’s made them better in the conference.
