Oelwein has filled a couple of its high school coaching vacancies. Travis Druvenga takes over as girl’s basketball coach, replacing Rick Uthoff who resigned to take the job at Waterloo East. Druvenga had been an assistant football coach at Oelwein. Doug Hannasch takes over as the boy’s and girl’s cross country coach, replacing Bill Allen who retired earlier this year. Hannasch is a longtime coach and teacher in Oelwein.
