Clinton police say a 12-year-old girl faces forgery charges for a string of bad checks written to area businesses. Police say the girl is charged with 11 counts of forgery for two thousand dollars in checks she wrote in Clinton. The forgery scheme began in April when she allegedly stole some checks from an acquaintance. The girl also faces theft charges for allegedly stealing keys to coin boxes at a Clinton laundromat. The girl was released to the custody of her parents after being charged in juvenile court.
