Cedar Rapids man charged with killing his roommate

Cedar Rapids police have charged a man with murder after an early-morning shooting. 44-year-old Jose Ramon Arreola of Cedar Rapids got into an argument with his roommate late last night that led to gunfire. When police arrived, they found a 53-year-old male had been shot. He later died at a hospital. Arreola is charged with first-degree murder. The victim’s name hasn’t been released.
