Cop shop robbed in Woodbine

June 10, 2002 By admin

The latest crime victims in western Iowa are police officers. Police in Woodbine are looking for the thieves who stole some guns — from the police station. The break-in happened early Sunday morning, when a steel door at the police station was kicked open. Once inside, the robbers took three small-caliber handguns, two shotguns, two 22-caliber rifles and one larger-caliber rifle. Police chief Alan Ronk says the unusual thing about the break-in is that the robbers didn’t trash the building or take anything else. No arrests have been made.
