Keosauqua hosts sky divers

June 15, 2002 By admin

Some high-flying fun is on tap in southeast Iowa today. Would-be skydivers will get a taste while well chaperoned in the sky, as tandem jumps are featured at an event today in Keosauqua. Jumpers are secured to a veteran skydiver, so their safety is guaranteed as much as possible after they step out of a perfectly good plane. Private pilots will fly themselves to the event and the fly-in also features airplane rides and a pancake breakfast. The Villages of Van Buren host it, eleven small communities nestled along the Des Moines River in Southeast Iowa roughly halfway between Ottumwa and Keokuk.
