June 19, 2002 By admin

Three men are under arrest after an attempted drug-related kidnapping over the weekend in Mason City. On Sunday night, Mason City police got a tip about men in a van who were acting suspiciously and had guns. Officers stopped the van and found three loaded, semi-automatic weapons inside. Cops then determined one of the men had been kidnapped from his home. The other three men were arrested and charged with kidnapping. Twenty-year-old Michael Allen Littlefield of St. Croix, Wisconsin; 25-year-old Michael Jerome Rongey of Mason City; and 27-year-old Richard Lee Mayor, Senior of Mason City are being held in the Cerro Gordo County jail on 32-thousand dollars bond each. Authorities have also searched several sites in Mason City, Cedar Falls and Floyd County and recovered about 60-thousand dollars worth of drugs and 40-thousand in cash.
