Storm Lake trial features testimony on autopsy

June 21, 2002 By admin

Testimony is centering on an autopsy in the Storm Lake murder trial of George Pittman, Junior. The Storm Lake man’s charged with stabbing his wife, Keo Pittman, to death last September 23rd, four days after he was released from prison. The state medical examiner testified there were stab wounds to the left chest and right arm of Keo Pittman’s body. The chest injury went through the rib and into the heart. The autopsy showed Keo died of the stab wound to the left chest but the cause of the wound is undetermined. It could have been a suicide or a homicide, but there was not enough information from the autopsy for the medical examiner to determine. Pittman contends Keo committed suicide and her wounds were self-inflicted.
