Canned spaghetti leads to lawsuit against HyVee

June 22, 2002 By admin

Iowa’s Hy-Vee chain is being sued by a couple from Nebraska. At a Hy-Vee grocery store in Norfolk, Nebraska, a stockboy’s blamed for negligence that injured a shopper. The lawsuit by Karen and James Nelson alleges cases of Spaghetti-O’s were left in an aisle, and when the woman tripped over them she suffered bruises, torn tendons and injuries to her arm and hip. Her lawyer says the cluttered store should pay her doctor’s bills, damages and something for her husband’s loss of companionship.
