Jamaine Billups to move to defense

July 3, 2002 By admin

Iowa State runningback JaMaine Billups will move to defense and strong safety as the Cyclones prepare for their season opener. Billups was third behind Hiawatha Rutland and Michael Wagner after spring practice and he’s not disappointed to be moved to the other side of the ball. Billups, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, says he’ll take the move to defense as a challenge. And, he says he can always move back to his old position if it doesn’t work out.
