July 9, 2002 By admin

A Davenport man will spend the rest of his life in prison for making the drug methamphetamine near the town of Buffalo. 45-year-old Jim Keith Eis was convicted in April. The sentence was handed down in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. Eis also received a 120-month sentence for creating a substantial risk to human life while manufacturing meth. A co-defendant, 24-year-old Anthony Brown of Davenport, was sentenced to 140 months in prison for conspiracy to manufacture meth and for creating a substantial risk. Eis and Brown were indicted with two other Davenport men.
